Two local students have been accepted for admission to Grace College in the fall semester. They are: John Dilling, the son of Richard and Linda Dilling, Warsaw, and Rodney Lutes, the son of Helen Lutes, Warsaw.
Twenty-four members of the Agnes Pruyn Chapman chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, in regular session on Feb. 22 in the Shrine building, honored the two American history essay contest winners, Michele Sebo, Warsaw, and Kelley McDonald, Leesburg. The given subject for their essays was "The Battle of Bunker Hill."
Kenneth Welty, 26, of 701 S. Main St., Nappanee, has been employed as a member of the Nappanee police force. He will start his new duties next Monday.
Residents of Etna Green are proud of their new fire truck, recently purchased and which is being given daily try-outs. The truck cost $2,100, has two chemical tanks of 35 gallons capacity each, carries 500 feet of hose, two ladders and is modern in every detail. The fire department has an additional 500 feet of hose, and fire protection is considered exceptionally good for a town the size of Etna Green.
