    The Warsaw Lady Tigers were all smiles after winning the school's first-ever gymnastics sectional championship Saturday at Wawasee High School. The Lady Tigers compiled a team score of 95.40 points to edge past Southwood (94.95) for the team title.

    Manchester High School's Scott Martin and Randy Shoemaker were among 96 student athletes nominated by members of the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association for the Annual Academic All-State Team.

Martin and Shoemaker were listed as honorable mention candidates and will receive a certificate awarded by legendary Lafayette Jeff coach Marion Crawley.

    S.E. Ellison, of the Citizens' State Bank, Milford, was elected president of the Kosciusko County Bankers' Association at a session last night in the recreation room at the Lake City Bank here.

Ellison succeeded Anthony Mathia, of Lake City Bank. Other officers chosen were Myron Ringo, of Lake City Bank, as vice president, and Willard Cain, of First National Bank, Warsaw, secretary treasurer.

    Dorothy Brubaker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brubaker, has been chosen one of four associate editors of the 1928 Arbutus, Indiana University's year book.

Brubaker graduated from the Warsaw High School in 1925.
