    INDIANAPOLIS - Jerry Badskey of Badskey Realty in North Webster has been appointed to the Board Presidents Committee of the Indiana Association of Realtors.

The Association's Board Presidents Committee serves as a forum to discuss issues and ideas and offer assistance to the challenges of leading a local board.

    Six winners of the 1976 American History Essay Contest from the Akron and Mentone schools are Diane Hathaway, Todd Hoffman, Greg Blackburn, Pamela Horn, Dawn Marie Slone and Rebecca Perry. The contest is sponsored annually by Anthony Nigo chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. "The Declaration of Independence" was the subject of the essays.

    State Trooper Robert J. Clevenger, of Syracuse, was promoted to the rank of corporal. Trooper Clevenger is a veteran of 15 years of service with the Ligonier post. He succeeds Corporal Richard B. Peters, of Bristol, who was advanced to sergeant. Clevenger is well-known in Warsaw and throughout this county.

    Robinson Brothers have installed in their market an electrically-operated meat-cutting machine, consisting of a bandsaw arranged in such manner as to dispense with old method of hand cutting. It is strictly up to date as a labor-saving device and is a remarkable piece of mechanism.
