    MUNCIE - Ball State sophomore Dave Keener, a graduate of Wawasee High School, defended his title in 1-meter diving plus captured the 3-meter crown in the Mid-American Conference Championships last weekend.

Keener was also named as the MAC's Diver of the Year for the 1991-92 season.

    Glen and Alldene Wagner, franchise operators of the Dairy Queen-Brazier store at 2304 E. Winona Ave., Winona Lake, have won American Dairy Queen Corporation's Silver Cone and Silver Brazier Awards, according to Harris Cooper, president of the corporation.

The Silver Cone is a plaque awarded to all franchise operators whose stores record a 500-gallon increase in usage of soft-serve mix over the previous year. The Silver Brazier is a plaque awarded to all operators whose store records a 2,000-pound increase in Brazier meat sales over the previous year.

    Cpl. Jack Swanson, Atwood, is a member of an Aggressor unit in the huge maneuver practice now going on in Texas. The Aggressors portray forces of a mythical enemy action with its own money, language and un-American psychology, and pull every trick in the book in an effort to give defending forces realistic training for war.

    Members of French classes of the Warsaw High School met Tuesday evening at the high school and organized a French Club with Daily Vaughn, the president, and Marjorie Fisher, secretary. The name of the club is "Le Gai Franaise Cercle." After the business session French charades were played, followed by the singing of French songs.
