    NORTH MANCHESTER - Ryan Christiansen received All-American honors as one of the 10 outstanding attorneys in the national Intercollegiate Mock Trial Tournament earlier this month.

Manchester College came away with an honorable mention citation as one of the top 20 teams in the Silver Flight. This is the second consecutive year Manchester has sent a team to the national level.

March 31 1979

    Glenda Morehead served as a page for Rep. Philip Warner (R-Goshen) in the Indiana House of Representatives on March 8. Glenda, 15, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Morehead of Warsaw, and attends Warsaw Freshman High School. Pages aid the legislators by delivering messages, and assist the staff of the House of Representatives by distributing mail, bills, committee schedules and other materials.

March 31 1954

    Lt. Claude I. Tully, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.I. Tully Sr., Claypool, was awarded the navy "E" for outstanding proficiency in serial gunnery during exercises with the navy jet fighter squadron 61 at Leeward Point, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The squadron's home base is at the Oceana Naval Air Station near Virginia Beach, Va.

    NORTH MANCHESTER - Leaving North Manchester Thursday morning, the girls' quartet and the boys' quartet of Manchester College will start an 11-day tour which will take them to the Atlantic Coast.

Members of the girls' quartet are Ruby Deardorff, Ruth Cunningham, Lavonne Culler and Clarice Pontius; and those on the boys' quartet are John Berkabile, Russell Stout, Harold Rarick and Floyd Sonafrank. Mabel Frederick is accompanist and Prof. D.W. Boyer is director.
