March 31 1995

    Jim Hoffman got a hole-in-one at Stonehenge Golf Course Saturday. Hoffman used an 8-iron to ace the No. 7, 140-yard hole. Witnesses were Dawn Hoffman, Dick Allen and Dan Alwine.

March 31 1980

    Diane Williams, most valuable swimmer for the Warsaw Community High School girls swimming team the past three seasons, has signed a national AIAW letter of intent and Ball State University scholarship agreement to swim for the Cardinals.

Considered the top recruit for the Ball State women's team, Williams will attend Ball State on a full athletic scholarship in the fall and will major in dietetics. She is an honor student at WCHS.

March 31 1955

    Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Egolf received word that their son, A/c Jack Egolf, who is stationed at Mather AFB near Sacramento, Calif., has been promoted to staff sergeant.

March 31 1930

    Seven Warsaw American Legion members, H.W. McDaniel, post commander, Hurless Nine, adjutant, C. Wagner, Robert Bushee, Pete Carroll, Blount Schlemmer and Gilbert Bates, attended a meeting of the commanders, adjutants and child welfare officers of the American Legion at the Legion building in Indianapolis.
