Sherry Shaffner, daughter of Steve and Carolyn Shaffner, will participate in the Miss Indiana Teen All-American Pageant April 28 in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Hotel, Indianapolis.
Don Childs, president of the retail division of Greater Warsaw Chamber of Commerce, presented useful gifts to Mrs. Alton Boggs, Rt. 3, Warsaw, and Katherine Womack, 325 N. Parker St., Warsaw. The women were the winners of the "Leprechaun Days," sponsored recently by local businessmen and the Chamber of Commerce. Boggs received $252 worth of gift certificates, and Womack $168 worth.
Mrs. Vern Egolf and Mrs. Floyd Knepp presented the project lesson at the meeting of the Harrison Center Club held at the home of Mrs. Russel Creighton, near Atwood. There were 19 members present and a guest, Mrs. George Snyder. "Knowing Your Figure Faults" was the lessons subject for the afternoon. Mrs. Knepp gave the topic for meditation and Mrs. William Davis, vice-president, presided. During the social hour prizes were won by Mrs. Frank Pfahler, Mrs. Russel Hoffert and Mrs. Egolf. Mrs. Creighton was assisted by Mrs. Smally in entertaining.
Chief of Police C.W. Douglas has received a copy of the new auto law passed by the recent legislature and signed by the governor and is now effective which provides for the revoking of an auto license when the person is unfit or is responsible for an accident on account of reckless driving, which fixes an age limit of 16 for those allowed to drive, which raises the speed limit in the country to 35 miles an hour and makes other strict regulations.
