    Honors continue to pour in for Warsaw Community High School senior Angie Johnson, who became the fifth Tiger player to be named to the Indiana All-Star team.

Johnson will join 11 other girls to play in the Indiana-Kentucky All-Star series.

    Although 9-year-old Marilyn King admitted that she guessed when she was unsure of what hog judging decision to make, she brought home a first- place trophy from her first hog judging contest this month. She must have guessed well.

A fourth-grader at Mentone Elementary School, Marilyn scored 147 out of a possible 150 points in the contest at the Merkshire Five-Star Futurity Show in Bucyrus, Ohio.

    South Whitley High School won a second place rating as the Columbia Scholastic Press Association in New York announced awards to student publications throughout the United States and in several foreign countries.

Approximately 1,300 student magazines and newspapers competed. South Whitley won a second place rating in the competition among schools of 300 or fewer students with its "South Whitley Broadcast."

March 24 1925

    Mr. and Mrs. John H. Hall, of west of Warsaw, received a banana blossom from their daughter, Mrs. Burwyn E. Ford who is at Daytona, Fla., for the winter months. The blossom is about nine inches from the stem to the tip and 15 inches in circumference. Under each petal is a cluster of blossoms from which the bananas grow. The blossom is on display at The Daily Times office.
