    Winners of their divisions in the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby were Tiger Cubs: first place James Custer, who also had the fastest overall time; second place Eric Lane; third place Eric Wilka; Wolves: first place Kerry Fribley; second place David Hahn; third place Ben Evilsizor; Bears: first place Guy Simmons; second place John Martin; third place Nick Hanlin; Webelos: first place Lucas White; second place Ryan Lozier; and third place Kyle Carter.

    The AAU Junior Olympic Swim Meet took place last weekend in Indianapolis and six Kosciusko County YMCA swimmers achieved national standard times.

Those making the standard were Kathy Garrard, Cheryl Gephart, Melissa Herndon, Frank Hunter, Linda Newcomer and Diane Williams.

March 24 1954

    Shirley Wolfe, daughter of Mrs. Louis Wolfe, Warsaw, will be in the 55-piece Indiana University symphony band which will make its annual spring tour March 11-17. Wolfe plays a clarinet in the band, which is conducted by Kenneth O. Snapp, acting director of Indiana University bands this year.

    The Past Noble Grands Association met with Mrs. Gael Munson. After a short business session the committee conducted several interesting contests, and prizes were awarded to Mrs. Walter Lee, Mrs. Frank Bodkin, Mrs. John Banks and Maud Hanna. Dainty refreshments were served, the hostess being assisted by Sarah Ireland, Mrs. Alfretta Taylor and Grace Snellenbarger.
