March 21 1995

    Michael Davis, son of Mike and Kelly Davis, Warsaw, and a student at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, will join 59 other students for a cross-country ride to benefit people with disabilities.

The trip, called the "Journey of Hope," will encompass 3,500 miles - from San Francisco to Charleston, S.C. - in 63 days to benefit PUSH America, a nonprofit organization that serves the needs of people with disabilities.

    The Warsaw Tigers bumped off a pair of ranked teams, Elkhart Memorial and Argos, Saturday to capture the Elkhart Regional crown, sending them to the Fort Wayne Semistate this Saturday. In the "Sweet 16" for the fifth time, the Tigers will be seeking their first semistate championship.

March 21 1955

    Mrs. Raymond Helser gave the lesson on "Sewing Shortcuts" at a recent meeting of the Thrifty Fifty Home Demonstration Club held at the home of Mrs. Robert Boley of near Warsaw.

Mrs. Dale Lowman gave the history of the song of the month, "On the Banks of the Wabash." The health and safety report was given by Mrs. Carl Bollinger, on "The Medicine Cabinet." Mrs. Robert Carnes gave the meditations using as her theme, "Be Ye Kind."

March 21 1930

    The Friday afternoon bridge club met this week at the home of Mrs. George Houser on East Main Street. Three tables of bridge were played with Mrs. A.L. Byler winning first prize and Mrs. Quincy Jones consolation. Mrs. W.A. Sellers was guest.
