    North Webster native Scott Rensberger has been honored as one of the top television news photographers in the nation. The 1980 graduate of Wawasee High School, who now lives in Denver, Colo., was chosen as the "Television News Photographer of the Year" by the National Press Photographers Association.

    INDIANAPOLIS - He recently turned 81 years of age, but the accolades are still pouring in for Warsaw's L.N. "Pete" Thorn.

Thorn was announced as one of 10 inductees into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. It comes only a little more than two years after Thorn - the founder and for 37 years executive director of Baker Boys' Club - was inducted into Indiana's Football Hall of Fame.

    Rose Harley, Syracuse, and Anna Berst, Leesburg, charter members of the Leesburg chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, were honored at the celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the chapter, held at the Leesburg Masonic Hall.

    The Indiana University Glee Club will broadcast Thursday evening from Indianapolis between 8 and 9 o'clock. Kenneth Coyle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oral Coyle, is one of the singers. This club will be in Warsaw to present a concert on April 4.
