    UPLAND - Todd Bruner, Winona Lake, is serving in the Community Outreach ministry at Taylor University during the 1995-96 school year.

Bruner, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bruner, is a graduate of Warsaw Community High School. A freshman at Taylor, he majors in accounting.

    Leah Allman, 16, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Allman, Warsaw, has been selected to be a finalist in the 1981 Indiana "Miss TEEN Pageant," to be held at the Sheraton-West Inn, Indianapolis. The pageant is the official statewide finals for the National "Miss TEEN" to be held in November.

    Kathryn Shade, of Indianapolis, has a responsible position one seldom associates with women. She is trace clerk in the office of division freight agent of the Pennsylvania railroad.

Kathryn has many friends in this area. Born and raised in Warsaw, she attended city schools, and received secretarial training at Warsaw High School, which since has been most helpful throughout her business career.

    A surprise party was held for Mrs. Earl Sparks Saturday evening in honor of her birthday. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Ralston and Mr and Mrs. Ora Feaster, of Bourbon; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Maltimore, of Plymouth; and Mrs. Blanche Kehler and Charles Sensibaugh, of Warsaw. Coffee and sandwiches were served for lunch. All departed at a late hour having had an enjoyable time.
