Another candidate for sheriff comes forward in a written message to The Times in which the rather youthful applicant states:
"I am five years old. I am a Republican. I want to be sheriff. I want Milo Maloy's place cause I want to arrest Boot Leggers and bad boys that break windows and I want my name in the paper. My Uncle John said he would vote for me and I want that in the paper too. I want everybody to vote for me. My dad is postmaster at Winona Lake and I live in the big brown house by the alley on the Island. Tell the people I want them to vote for me. Bobby Ellison, Winona Lake, Ind."
