    William L. Johnson recently celebrated his 25th anniversary with Zimmer Inc., a division of Bristol-Myers Squibb.

He started at Zimmer on Feb. 25, 1970, as a cabinet operator, and has since held numerous positions with increasing responsibilities. His current position is lab technician.

March 17 1980

    Rabb Soft Water Co. Inc. of Warsaw, has announced the awarding of District Outstanding Service Award to David O. Taylor, service manager. There are 25 of these awards given annually throughout the country by the Lindsay Division of Ecodyne Corp., St. Paul, Minn.

Taylor has been employed by Rabb Soft Water Co. Inc. for the last five years and lives in the Pierceton area, where he is also a volunteer fireman and EMT for the Pierceton, Monroe and Washington EMS.

March 17 1955

    Merrill VanCleave, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. VanCleave, of 1211 E. Main St., will play the saxophone with the 63-piece symphony band at Indiana State Teachers College when they present their annual winter concert March 13 in the Student Union building auditorium. VanCleave is a sophomore at the college.

March 17 1930

    Dr. F.C. Tucker of Claypool left for Columbus, Ohio, where he will attend the veterinary conference held by the Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine on March 19-21. This is a post-graduate course where he will take work in the control and eradication of poultry diseases.
