With a tight grip on reality, Janet Dome slowly but correctly spelled "hallucinogen" Wednesday night to gain the County Spelling Bee title in the 39th round and beat out last year's champ Sam Shetty. Dome, 13, is a seventh grader at South Whitley Middle School and the daughter of John and Shirley Dome of Route 2, Claypool.
Warsaw's Denny Hepler and Plymouth's Bruce Grimm were named unanimous selections to the All-Northern Lakes Conference Basketball "first" team at last night's mid-winter league banquet honoring wrestlers and cagers.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester C. Cretcher, Milford, were planning a trip to Normal, Ill., today to visit with a brother, James, whom Lester had neither seen nor heard from for 20 years. Mr. Cretcher said his brother was placed in a Moose home for children when their mother died 20 years ago. It was the last time Lester saw his brother.
Mrs. Herbert Lehman and Mrs. George McKrill entertained on Tuesday evening at the home of the latter in honor of their husbands' birthday anniversaries. The evening was spent in visiting, playing games and victorola music.
