    Three players from the surrounding area have been invited to compete in the Reebok North/South Indiana All-Star Classic. Warsaw's Brodie Ewert and Plymouth's Michael Edison made the North Boys Team 12-man roster. Rochester's Sheila McMillen made the North Girls Team roster.

March 15 1980

    Selected with top honors, Susan Stokes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stokes, of Warsaw, has been chosen as a member of the 1980 Ball State University singers. This group is a leader in collegiate show groups and only a limited number of students make auditions each year.


50 Years Ago

March 15 1955

    Jack Evans and Kent Adams, Warsaw High School seniors, were honored by Central Indiana conferences coaches by being named to the all-conference first and third teams, respectively, during the CIC basketball banquet held at the American Legion home in Warsaw.

Only twice before in the long history of the Central Conference has the same school won both the football and basketball championships in a single season. No school has ever won all three titles - football, basketball and track - but Warsaw is given an excellent chance to do just that and make a complete sweep of the major conference sports in its return to CIC competition this year.

March 15 1930

    The Warsaw Pistol team and Fort Wayne Pistol team shot at Fort Wayne Sunday. The score for Warsaw was a total of 1,097 and Fort Wayne, 1,086.

Individual Warsaw scores were: Stamper, 222; Cauffman, 212; Strauss, 219; Harmon, 215; and Snyder, 229.
