    Fred Holst and John Doyle were the winning pair in the February edition of the Steve Ross Doubles Bowling Tourney, held at Gilliam Lanes. They defeated 14 other teams in a very high scoring event, including the team of Mike and Tony Clevenger by a single pin in a very thrilling final match.

    Bill Dorell won first prize and grand prize for his electronics project entered in the science fair at Madison School for grades three through six. Bill is in the fifth grade and named his project, "Digital Computer."

    Awards of 4-H club pins were made last night to members of the Beaver Dam club.

Cliff Breeden, assistant county agent, reviewed the county 4-H program and revealed that the Beaver Dam club was the largest in the county last year, with its members winning county, state and national recognition.

    Neighbors living near the Melick Grocery on West Market Street Sunday night became alarmed when they discovered an unusual light in the grocery. A phone call brought night policemen there to find Donald Melick in there alone writing letters.
