    A trio of team members from the Warsaw YMCA swim team, the Sharks, won a trophy at the 1994 Indiana State YMCA A and B Championships. The Sharks placed fifth overall in the final team standings. Three key members of the Sharks are Laura Scalet, Melissa Smith and Michael McCammon.

    Gregory C. Hopkins a junior student of mechanical engineering at Purdue University was recently pledged to the Purdue Beta Chapter of Pi Tau Sigma, the national honorary mechanical engineering fraternity. Hopkins is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hopkins.

    Virgil Bibler, a member of the Warsaw volunteer fire department for 23 years, has retired at the age of 60 and was presented a wrist watch, appropriately engraved, by Fire Chief Wes Hay and members of the department.

March 13 1929

    Maple syrup, the good old Hoosier, Kosciusko County brand, made by James Circle, of Sidney, was being sold in Warsaw today at $2.25. Circle has been making and delivering maple syrup every spring in Warsaw for more than half a century and has a long list of regular customers, some of whom have been on his list for 50 years or more. Circle has just completed making 59 gallons at his camp and says that if there is more freezing weather the season is not yet closed.
