    CLAYPOOL - Monique Shepherd has been named Teacher of the Year by the Indiana Council for Children with Behavior Disorders.

Shepherd, who teaches the emotionally handicapped class at Claypool Elementary School, received the award at a reception in Indianapolis.

    Ruth Bettinger, daughter of Mrs. Marjorie Shipley, Rt. 3, Warsaw, has been elected vice president of Mu Phi Epsilon, international professional music society at DePauw University, Greencastle.

Bettinger is a 1974 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and is majoring in applied music at DePauw.

    Mrs. Theodore Frazer, Mrs. Hobart Creighton, Mrs. Edward Robbins and Bertha Bartol are the delegates chosen by the Agnes Pruyn Chapman Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to attend the Continental Congress to be held at Washington, D.C., by the organization.
