    Navy Seaman apprentice Faith L. Cantway, daughter of Deborah L. Dahlberg of Nappanee, recently graduated from Basic Electronics Technician School.

During the course at Naval Training Center, Orlando, Fla., students received introductory instruction in electronic circuit concepts, radar principles and the basics of radio transmitters and receivers. Studies also include procedures for repairing amplifiers, transmitters, receivers and power supply lines.

    Kathy Kordish, 15, has been selected delegate to Hoosier Girls' State by Unit 49 of the American Legion Auxiliary, sponsors of the program. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kordish, Warsaw.

The alternate delegate is 17-year-old Renee M. Lindzy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith L. Lindzy, Warsaw.

    Mrs. Jeff (Luciana) Powers, of South Indiana Street, was one of 56 new citizens who took the oath of allegiance administered by Judge Luther Swygert in the federal building at Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Powers, who was born and reared in Montalto-Di-Castro, Italy, met her husband while he was serving in the air force in 1943.

    The new two-cent George Rogers Clark commemorative stamp, which commemorates the surrender of Fort Sackville at Vincennes, was placed on sale at the Mentone post office this week. Mentone was the first post office in this section of the state to receive the new stamp.
