It looks like two sisters will face each other at the 1989 Kosciusko County Area Spelling Bee.

Janet Dome, a South Whitley Middle School eighth-grader, took the Seventh- and Eighth-Grade Championship title last night in the 77th round, winning with the word "carnivore." Her sister, Debra, a sixth-grader at South Whitley, also was a winner, placing at the top of the Fifth- and Sixth-Grade Spelling Bee on Monday night. Janet took the County Champ title last year in the 38th round, upsetting the 1987 County Champ, Sam Shetty.
