    Warsaw's Paul Grossnickle recently got a hole-in-one in Tucson, Ariz.

Grossnickle aced the No. 17, 183-yard hole at El Conquistador Golf Course. Witnessing were Mike Ridgeway, Billy Beatty and Dan Widaman, all of Warsaw.

March 10 1980

    After 227,000 miles, John Ladd's "Big Red" (his faithful station wagon) finally has died. The fateful moment came March 4 north of the city. Our condolences to John, a veteran postal employee in Warsaw.


50 Years Ago

March 10 1955

    Robert Williams, of North Buffalo Street, Warsaw, is included in the 70-student cast of Indiana University's traditional Jordan River Revue. This year's musical, titled "Nautical But Nice," will be presented on the campus March 18 to 26.


75 Years Ago

March 10 1930

    ROCHESTER - A Logansport store in a trade effort stimulus sent telegrams to 700 residents of this city. The messages were sent over the Western Union wires and it was an all day job for the local messenger boy and two assistants to deliver them. This was the largest number of telegrams ever to be received at the local office in one day according to Harvey Waymire, manager of the Western Union office here.
