    Whitko High School's 1990 valedictorian is Tami Hartman and the salutatorian is Scott Adams.

Hartman, the daughter of Jerry and Judy Hartman, Pierceton, had a grade point average of 11.3640 on a 12-point scale. Adams, the son of Mike and Cheryl Adams, achieved an 11.3250 GPA.

    Fifty years of camping will be celebrated June 15 at Camp Mack, Milford, beginning at 2:30 p.m. according to the anniversary program chairman, Paul Kendall.

Heading the list of guest appearances and pageants is Prof. Lawrence W. Shultz of North Manchester, who was the main organizer and developer of the camp for 25 years, and Raymond Hoover and Arden Ball, both of near Milford, who have served as resident directors since Shultz.

    Monita Miner is Mentone High School's entry for the title "Queen of the Lakes." She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd C. Miner, of Crystal Lake Road, west of Warsaw. She is five feet, three inches tall, has blonde hair and hazel eyes.

    Joseph C. Hearley, 524 E. Main St., second lieutenant of infantry in the Officers' Reserve Corps, has been selected as an instructor for the 1925 Citizens' Military Training Camps. Lt. Headly has been assigned to camp at Fort Benjamin Harrison, July 8 to Aug. 6.
