    Juanita Leal and Chasity Sloderbeck were honored as the winners of the Madison Elementary Safety Patrol. They were selected by the school's patrol and approved by sixth-grade teachers and principal Jeff Neumann.

    The Hornets of Washington are all smiles after winning the city boys' elementary track championship. Team members are Charles Lersch, Bert Alford, Doug Nock, Jeff Tucker, Steve Hollar, Michael Nishi, Erik Lemler, Jeff Robbins, Danny Shepherd, Israel Garza, Richard Stephens, Keith Cummings, Randy Snyder, Kenny Harrell and Terry Wood, coached by Noel Hoke.

    Janice Gowin and Max Stockhouse, popular Warsaw High School seniors, danced the first dance after receiving their crowns as king and queen of the junior-senior reception at the Elks Club Wednesday evening.

June 9 1928

    Mary Rippey, daughter of D.S. Rippey, East Fort Wayne Street, has been honored by receiving the scholarship which is given each year to a deserving student by the Tri Kappa Sorority Chapters of Indiana. Rippey was chosen from a list of 30 Indiana girls. She graduated from the Warsaw High School with the class of 1928, and will attend Indiana University.
