    Kathryn Reiff's poem "To My Children" has been selected to be in the upcoming "Outstanding Poets of 1994."

Only the top two percent of poems submitted to The National Library of Poetry are chosen for this honor.

    TERRE HAUTE - Angela Bryant, of Pierceton, is a new member of Pamarista honor society at Indiana State University.

Admission to the society is granted to selected outstanding men and women who will be seniors next fall and who have shown qualities of leadership, scholarship and service during their college careers.

    Two sets of twin girls were born at the Elkhart General Hospital in a 24-hour period and parents of both sets are residents of Syracuse.

Twin girls were born to Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Cripe one morning and the next morning twin girls were born to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Personette.

June 8 1929

    An old-fashioned belling in honor of newlyweds, a custom which now modernized includes riding the couple aboard an auto truck while the belling throng follows in a parade of autos through the business streets of the town honking auto horns, was staged last night in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hodges. The bride was formerly Katherine Foote, of this city.
