    Warsaw firefighters Pete Gatke and Tom Drummond recently completed an 80-hour State Master certification course. Completion of the course means the two are certified in fire prevention and inspection. They are the only two firefighters in the county to achieve this certification level, according to Warsaw Fire Chief Kenny Shepherd.

    Kosciusko Community Hospital's maternity ward was christened at 3:09 a.m. today when Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce) Dixon, attended by Arthur L. Moser, M.D., delivered the first infant.

The $11 million hospital opened its doors to the first patients yesterday, and Mrs. Dixon, who resides at Shamrock Mobile Home Park, Rt. 7, Warsaw, was the 20th person admitted.

    Maryellen Hawley gave a demonstration on "Making a Simple Apron" at a recent meeting of the Bourbon Junior 4-H Happy Helpers Club.

Patricia Banic led the group in the pledge to the flags.

June 8 1926

    Clara Eve King, Mentone, received the Sherwood Gold Pin last Friday from the Sherwood Music School of Chicago. In an examination on the work covered in the local branch, the Warsaw Sherwood School of Music, she made a grade of 99 percent. King is working on the course leading to Teacher's Certificate and Diploma in Piano and is teaching in her home community while taking the course.
