    Eastlake Skate Club members Loren Dalrymple and Lori Miller took second place in the sub-novice dance division. The couple also received a first-place trophy in the 1987 Mother's Day invitational in Minneapolis, Minn.

    Four Warsaw Community High School sophomores received certificates for passing all physical fitness tests necessary to be eligible for the Presidental Fitness Award. These included: Rod Ritenour, Brian Gadson, Larry Hankins and Ron Redden.

June 7 1947

    Barbee Lakes, located 2 miles southwest of North Webster, were named for Barbara Kuhn. Kuhn's Landing on the Barbees was named for Issac Kuhn. For many years the lakes went by the name of Barbara Lakes. Barbara was later changed to Barbee.


75 Years Ago
June 7 1922

    Warsaw school children were today trudging smilingly homeward with armloads of school books and school paraphernalia. Tomorrow is the last day of school. Children will be required only to attend school while their report cards are being distributed.
