    Warsaw police officer Terry Polston remains on light duty following ankle surgery in May. Polston injured his ankle during a Thanksgiving Day accident on U.S. 30 where he and fellow officer Fred Heady set up a roadblock to stop a fleeing motorist. Polston had orthoscopic surgery in May and has been on light duty since then.

    Bruce Grossnickle, Route 7, Warsaw, has been awarded a varsity "D" jacket in golf at DePauw University, where he has just completed his junior year. Grossnickle, who was also named the team's MVP, finished the fall-spring golf campaign with an 18-hole average of 75.1, the best on the team.

    Juanita M. Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar M. Baker, of Route 2, Warsaw, will receive her A.B. degree at Marion College, at commencement exercises there. Baker has been assisting as an instructor in the music department of the college.

    Two beautiful white swans, purchased in New York, have been given to Winona Assembly, the gift of Ben Phillipson, Warsaw. The big birds will be housed on the lily pond where there are a number of fine black ducks. The graceful swans were purchased at considerable expense.
