Friends, relatives and colleagues of Gary L. Calhoun gathered in the Kosciusko Circuit Courtroom Tuesday evening to witness the swearing in of the county's newest judge.
NORTH WEBSTER - The Rev. and Mrs. A.C. Underwood were the honored guests at a carry-in dinner Sunday at the United Methodist Church. It marked the retirement of the Rev. Underwood as assistant pastor of the church for the past six years.
Four Mentone seniors were honored at a banquet held by the Mentone Baptist Church at the Eskimo Inn, Winona Lake. They are John Davis, Donna Copeland, Phyllis Warren and Noreen Bibler.
Mrs. Glen Smith, Mrs. Frank Bates and Mrs. E.A. Williams were candidates initiated into the Business and Professional Women's Club at the meeting taking place Friday evening at the home of Bernice Bibler. During the business session a number of committees were appointed by the president, Mary Jane East.
