Warsaw will be represented in the Indiana American Pre-Teen Pageant next week by Tanya Smith. The 12-year-old Madison Elementary student will compete in the 9-to-12 age group June 10 and 11 at Indianapolis. Tanya is the daughter of Karen and Carl Smith who live in Melody Acres.
John S. Arford, son of Dr. and Mrs. John E. Arford, Warsaw, will receive his diploma during Culver Military Academy's traditional Iron Gate Ceremony June 4. Arford, a member of Culver's infantry battalion, is one of 172 seniors from 39 states and 14 foreign countries who will graduate following colorful June Week exercises.
New modern radio receivers are being placed in the county jail and local police station. Units will be in the city police car, sheriff's car, fire truck and deputy sheriff's auto.
Warsaw club ladies and clubwomen are to be congratulated over the success of their first flower exchange held today at the old Baptist Church building. The ladies of Warsaw were very generous in bringing flower plants for exchange and distribution, for almost every variety was taken there in large number, the collection even embracing cabbage plants.
