    Dedication ceremonies were conducted Sunday for the new Biblical Gardens at Warsaw's Center Lake. About 150 people attended the event as six years of work came to fruition. The garden, which features plants mentioned in the Bible, is open to the public free of charge from dawn to dusk seven days a week.

    Errol White, a teacher at the Warsaw Middle School and former high school cross country coach, won all three events he entered at the first ever Indiana State Masters Championships in Crawfordsville over the weekend.

White, running under the colors of the Kosco Striders, took first place in the 100-, 200- and 440-yard dashes in the 30-34 age bracket.

    Art Smith, a Warsaw stock car driver, won the feature 75-lap trophy race without a stop Sunday afternoon at the Playland Park track in South Bend. Smith won against competition offered by drivers from throughout northern Indiana and southern Michigan.

    A popular song written by Max Rapp, Warsaw conservatory of music director, has won recent popularity among New York musicians. The melody was sent to Charles Campbell, Warsaw young man playing with the famous Kahn jazz orchestra in New York. A trial soon assured its success. Friends of Rapp expect the copyrighted aria to bring a fancy price.
