    It didn't take long for the newest Indiana instant lottery game to produce a big winner in Kosciusko County. Deb Conley purchased a "Grand Slam" ticket at the Shell Food Mart on the corner of Center and Detroit streets, Warsaw. After the score was tallied in the ninth inning, Conley came out a $5,000 winner.

    Terry Kaiser, 19, competing as Miss Etna Green, reigns as the 1975 Queen of the Lakes following her coronation at the conclusion of the 30th annual Mermaid Festival in North Webster. Terry, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Kaiser, Etna Green, has also been selected as The Times-Union Calendar Girl for July.

    If anyone finds a set of false teeth between Packerton and the North Manchester airport, the North Manchester News-Journal will be glad to pass the information onto the owner. His Name? Well, that is being withheld due to embarrassing reasons. The owner lost his teeth when he became ill while a passenger in an airplane this past week-end. In opening the window of the plane, the passenger lost his "uppers" somewhere in the vicinity of the Asa Hines farm, near Packerton.

    The Summer Sewing Club held their second meeting and the following officers were elected: president, Esther Melick; vice president, Mary Phillips; secretary, Mildred Chapman; yell leader, Thelma Winebrenner. The yell leader led the girls in several songs. A duet was rendered by Esther Melick and Marjorie Fisher. Catherine Stokes gave an interesting talk on "Where Do We Get Our Styles?"
