June 26 1994

    Warsaw native Randy Rhodes is at it again. The top notch dog trainer will be going to Prague, the Czech Republic, in September to represent the United States at the World Championship Schutzhund Trials - a specialized dog training competition. Randy and his dog, Digger, won the right to compete at the international level by winning the North American Trials held in Denver and Portland, Ore.

June 26 1979

    Two members of the Kosciusko County League of Women Voters, past president Mary Jurss and president Dinah Armey, recently attended the 38th State Convention of the LWV of Indiana held in South Bend. Discussing League priorities and determining the group's program for the next two years were 130 League members representing 28 local Leagues. Sen. Birch Bayh also addressed the convention.


50 Years Ago

June 26 1954

    Mrs. A.L. Price, of the Center community, sent us a spinach leaf from her garden that was approximately 18 inches wide and 14 inches tall. This should be sufficient proof that Texas isn't the only state that grows them bigger and better.


75 Years Ago

June 26 1929

    An air circus, put on by the Crossley Radio Co., was attended by many at Silver Lake. One of the main features of the afternoon was a parachute jump made by "Windy," a scotch terrier.
