    Members of the entire Cub Scout Pack 3715, as well as a first-grade Tiger Cub, recently received their religious awards.

Students receiving the awards were BJ Woodward (the Tiger Cub), Kirk Blackburn, Ryan Francis, Daniel and Paul Hartford, Aaron Herendeen, Jacob Keirn, David Logan, Joel Pelz, Xavier Russell, Micah Siesennop, Zachary Woodward, Schyler Helms, Ryan Neal and John Martin III.

June 25 1979

    "Respect Human Life" was the theme for a poster contest sponsored by Kosciusko County Right to Life for the students of Lakeland Christian Academy. First prize of $15 was awarded to Brian Futch. John Trier Jr. won the $10 second prize and Amy Koble received $5 for third place.


50 Years Ago

June 25 1954

    Herman J. Adams was elected commander at the Herbert Kuhn American Legion Post at North Webster at a meeting led recently at the Legion Hall.

Other officers elected were Duane Leedy, first vice commander; Adrian Howell, second vice commander; C.H. Baker, adjutant; H.A. Ganger, finance officer; Dr. G.W. Stalter, service officer; Gordon Rhoades, chaplain; and Glen Vanator, sergeant-at-arms.

75 Years Ago

June 25 1929

    About 100 persons from Warsaw attended the dedication of the new airfield east of Bourbon Sunday afternoon. Little Betty Elkins of Bourbon christened the field, and the Rev. Milling delivered the dedication address.
