    Keith Smith, 5, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Smith, of Warsaw, and Kimberly Ottinger, 4, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Ottinger, of Huntington, were crowned Cutie King and Queen of the 31st annual Mermaid Festival in North Webster.

    Irvin Hoff, of North Manchester, formerly on the staff of Radio Station WRSW, of Warsaw, is now serving as a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force in Korea.

In a letter dated May 27, Hoff says he has completed his 76th mission over Korea and has credit for more than 1,100 hours of flying time. He says he is now eligible for an air medal.

    First Lt. Ralph Lichtenwalter, veteran of the World War and Mexican border service and long-time member of Warsaw National Guard organizations, will be named second lieutenant and assigned to the Warsaw company, according to recommendation made by Capt. Herschel Cook. Second Lt. Vernon Maish has been relieved because of detection of a hernia in a recent physical examination.
