    Ben Wright of Pierceton served as a representative to Boys State, which took place June 10-17 at Indiana State University, Terre Haute.

He is the son of George Wright and Gail Hoke, and will be a senior at Whitko High School.

June 24 1980

    Winners in Monday's one-on-one basketball tournament play at the Baker Boys Club for 14-16 year-olds were Ray Davis and Rick Rookstool. Melvin Taylor won the 17-18 age group.

Bingo winners were Rickey Rater, Brent McNeese and Calvin Thomsas and Willie McNeese won the pizza certificate.

    Porter Harley, Dr. Charles E. Thomas and William Clarence Fried were honored at the 100th anniversary of the Leesburg Masonic Lodge No. 181 F&AM. Harley has been a member of the lodge for 60 years, Thomas for 59 years and Fried for 58 years.
