    The Enchanted Hills Playhouse opened its 1989 season with Tintypes, a musical conceived by Mary Kyte with Mel Marvin and Gary Pearle.

    Warsaw Tiger Golf Coach Joe Harris presented the Elks Golf Award to standout senior Ted Pinnick. Pinnick was awarded the honor for his outstanding play and low scores in the Northern Lakes Conference Tournament (77), Sectional (74) and Regional (78).

    Mrs. Pauline Hamman, Syracuse, was five silver dollars happier today as the result of being chosen the first winner in the annual Warsaw Daily Times and Union and Chicago Motor Club 'Safety Drive Contest'.

Mrs. Hamman received her five silver dollars after being observed by Police Chief Roy Adams and Chamber of Commerce Manager Roger Dunn.

    The 18-hole golf course of the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club was given its final inspection by Jack Croke preparatory to opening the course. Mr. Croke of the Annadale Country Club at Pasadena, Calif., said he had never seen a course in more perfect condition.
