The U.S. Achievement Academy recently announced that Rachel Keele, Warsaw, has been named a U.S. National Award winner in speech and drama. Keele is the daughter of James and Carol Keele, Warsaw.
Keith C. Seele, famed Egyptologist with the University of Chicago, has been honored by a special double issue of "Journal of Near Eastern Studies" released this month. Born in Warsaw in 1898, Seele distinguished himself as an archaeologist and professor until his death in 1971.
The first old-fashioned railroad show to hit town in many a year will arrive with 25 cars on the Big Four siding, between 5 and 6 a.m. Thursday. Advance agents of the Daily Brothers' Circus said that the show would move from the freight yards to the fairgrounds in heavy circus wagons, pulled by eight-horse teams. The circus maintains 100 horses for this and show purposes.
"Fat" Neer made the mistake last night of trying to coax traffic officer W.A. Winebrenner into an auto race on East Center Street. He drove around Winebrenner's car and challenged him to a race. Winebrenner had him before the mayor today for speeding.
