In Leesburg youth T-ball league action, the Indians defeated the Giants 25-15 behind J.R. Manuel's two home runs, Matt Farell's homer and triple and Shanna Bussard's double. Travis Richardson and Joe Patrick Jr. homered for the Giants and Shane Dawson doubled.
The luncheon-bridge of the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club Ladies Bridge Club was hosted by Mrs. Charles Hughes, Mrs, Robert Rink and Mrs, H. N. Phillips. Thirty-nine members were in attendance and the door prize went to Mrs. Dan Sherman.

Winona Assembly's summer program opened last night with Al Sweet and his Singing Band of 40 pieces, which delighted a large crowd in the Billy Sunday auditorium. This famous organization made a big hit with the first audience of the season and its reappearance in addition to the Joe Thomas Sax-o-tett will certainly attract a still larger crowd, said to have been larger than they could have been in the old auditorium.
