Dr. Joseph A. Orr, Warsaw, the son of Drs. Joe A. Orr and Mary Ann Orr of Rt. 2, Warsaw, received his degree of Doctor of Chiropractic during June commencement exercises of Palmer College, Davenport, Iowa.
James Hartle, general manager of the Zimmer Manufacturing Co., corner of Detroit and Arthur streets, received a call on the eve of Memorial Day from Newport, R.I., that six frames for treating burn cases and a Brown electro dermatone used for skin grafting were needed in Newport immediately for the Navy men injured on the aircraft carrier, USS Bennington, following a fatal blaze on the morning of May 26.
Dr. James A. Gordon was chosen as a delegate from the Kiwanis Club to attend the international convention at Milwaukee, Wis. Mrs. H.G. Davis, accompanied by Mrs. Maude Snyder, gave two pleasing vocal selections at the meeting.
