    The City/County Athletic Complex will see its first action on June 22 when a Traveling Team League soccer tournament will be held there. Mayor Jeff Plank said the field is ready for play. "We've just been waiting for the grass to grow," he said.

    Debbie Cormany, 16-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cormany, of Clunette, had a shy smile after being crowned Miss Leesburg Days for 1976 by the 1975 queen, Vickie Gladieux. She will represent the Leesburg Merchants' Association, sponsor of the contest, in the 1977 Mermaid Festival and Queen of Lakes Pageant.

    Sandra Emerick and Earl McCoy, of Warsaw, were winners in the weekend show sponsored at the Winamac Saddle Club by the Indiana Saddle Horse Association.

Emerick placed first in the amateur three-gaited class with "Honey Genius," and fourth in the stake class. McCoy took fourth in the Tennessee Walking horse stake class with "Sweet Talk."

    Out of the 12 pistol marksmen in the United States who qualified as expert pistol shots in the recent national pistol qualification shoot for experts throughout the U.S., Charles Robinson, of Warsaw, ranked seventh, with a score of 506 out of a possible 600. George Mowery and Robinson will go to Indianapolis to attend the State Bankers' Association shoot. Tom Parker qualified as sharpshooter in the national rifle shoot. He was one of nine to quality as sharpshooter.
