The Leesburg Elementary School kindergarten class, which will graduate in the year 2000, planted a tree at the Central Instructional Materials Center. The maple tree and a granite marker are located behind the building.
Edwin G. Blue, Route 1, Leesburg, has been awarded a citation from Grace College after being named the Alumnus of the Year. Recipient of the Alumnus of the Year award for Grace Seminary was Dr. Kenneth O. Gangel.
About 40 men from the community left Monday morning with trucks to Baer Field, Fort Wayne, to help tear down some government buildings which Prairie Township purchased for building the new Atwood gym which will soon be under construction.
Kosciusko County raised approximately 225 colts last year. It requires about 600 colts a year to keep up the work horse supply in this county.
