City Officer Thomas VanDeGrift made a prize "catch" early Wednesday morning when he discovered that a motorist he stopped for speeding on East Center Street at 12:35 a.m. was none other than John Ed Olson, better known as Ole Olson of the famous Olson and Johnson comedy team.

After reporting at the police station and paying his $2 fee, Olson had quite a conversation with VanDeGrift and Officer Marion Warner. He invited the two policemen to come to Indianapolis next Friday or any day during the run to see his new show, "Funnzapoppin."

Mrs. Earl Burwell entertained 10 little girls on Saturday for her daughter, Mary Ellen Burwell, it being her fifth birthday. They spent the afternoon playing out-of-door games, skipping the rope and swinging. They toasted marshmallows over a furnace built in an embankment. Mrs. Burwell served ice cream and cake. Mary Ellen received many pretty little gifts from her friends.
