    Laura Lee Cochran, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Cochran, Mentone, has graduated cum laude from David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tenn. Laura receiver her bachelor of arts degree in commercial arts and marketing. David Lipscomb College is a private Christian college supported by the Churches of Christ.

    Ronald R. Maust, Grace College, Winona Lake, was among 348 participants in the recent five-day First International Tuba Symposium at the Indiana University school of music.

Participants came from all parts of the United States and Canada and from as far away as Germany, Denmark and Japan.

    Mrs. Eileen Fenstermaker, Mentone, will be guest of honor at a tea to be given at the Mentone Masonic Hall. She was recently chosen Grand Esther of the Indiana Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

    Among the best fish stories of the past few days in the one told by M.E. Tremaine, who last night lost a monster bass which he believes must have weighed "nearly 50 pounds." Tremaine usually brings in the biggest fish in this vicinity and holds most of the local records.
