    The Warsaw baseball squad concluded its 1993 season by handing out team awards Monday night.

Senior Kerry Mann and sophomore Jared Smith earned the highest accolades for the Tigers. Mann, an infielder, received the Most Valuable Player Award, while Smith, a pitcher, garnered the Most Improved Player Award for the orange and black.

    Krystal Gsell and Michael Cook played a special role in the Awards Day program at Jefferson School Tuesday when they presented the school library books bought with the $50 prize money they won for their scrapbooks on ecology and energy conservation earlier this year.

Krystal is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gsell and Michael is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Cook.

    Workmen at North Webster began laying the floor foundation for the new Thornburg Drug Store, which will be located just south of the M and M Cafe on the east side of the town's main street. Fire on May 10 destroyed the old drug store building farther south and on the other side of the street.

    Mrs. Paul Coffin was re-elected president of the Delta Theta Tau sorority at a meeting held at the home of Mrs. Clarence Cox. Other officers chosen were: Clara Snyder, vice president; Dorothy Kehler, recording secretary; Frances Benton, corresponding secretary; Clara Thompson, treasurer; Mrs. Homer Ring, bursar; Mary Douglass, press correspondent; and Mrs. Burwyn Ford, historian. The two delegates to the National Delta Theta Tau convention, to be held at Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Paul Coffin and Edith Anglin, left this morning.
