    Benjamin Hively and Taylor Stoll were chosen as Mr. Rooster and Miss Chick during the Mentone Egg Festival. Hively, 5, is the son of Linda Hively, Warsaw. Stoll, 6, is the daughter of Kevin and Darla Stoll, Mentone. Winners received a $50 savings bond and a trophy.

June 16 1980

    Teresa Patrick, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Patrick, Pierceton, was chosen the 1980 Pork Queen by members of the Kosciusko County Pork Producers Association recently. She was the recipient of a $50 savings bond and will represent the organization as a promoter of the pork industry, participate in various parades and help with county fair activities this year.

June 16 1955

    Officials of Culver Military Academy announced the promotion of Michael R. Williams, of Warsaw, from sergeant to rank of first lieutenant in the academy's infantry battalion.

Cadet Williams, who this week completed his third year at the academy, has returned to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reub Williams, of Country Club Drive, for the summer months.

    Reuben Williams arrived last night (June 17) from St. John's Military academy, Delafield, Wis., where on Sunday he received his graduation diploma.
