    Kevin Ault, four-year basketball standout at Warsaw Community High School and the school's second Mr. Basketball, has been named grand marshall of the 1996 Silver Lake Days Festival.

June 15 1981

    Franklin College's Gordy Clemens, a senior from Warsaw, has received honorable mention on the NAIA basketball all-American team.

It marks the second straight year the 6-7 forward was honored by the NAIA. As a junior, Clemens was named third team all-American.

50 Years Ago

June 15 1956

    Mrs. J.M. Richer, who owns the double-log house, "Heirloom," on the island of Winona Lake, entered four iris specimens from her own garden in the Northeastern Iris show held June 1 at the Sears' Pavilion, Fort Wayne. She walked off with two white ribbons and two blue ribbons awarded for perfection of bloom and perfection of stalks.

June 15 1931

    A sample of the largest home-grown strawberries seen this season was brought to The Times office by James O. Magner, residing at the corner of Scott and South streets. The strawberries were beautiful and perfectly smooth.
