For some time Warsaw fire truck drivers have been having an easy time, and in order to keep in practice, driver Melick took on an additional duty Saturday night, that of rescuing a cat from a tree.

Residents of West Prairie Street reported that there had been a house cat in a tree at 222 W. Prairie St. for three days. Officer Melick took the fire truck and ladders to the scene, located the feline with big search-light on the truck, erected a 30-foot ladder and brought the cat to the ground.
