    Warsaw Merchants Association is preparing for the annual Strawberry Festival, to be held on the Courthouse lawn in Warsaw. Events planned will include a diaper derby and a daddy dash, as well as exhibitions from local dance schools.

June 11 1972

    Rev. David P. Gosser of Leesburg donated a picture he called "European Fishing Village" to the town of Leesburg. The painting will be on temporary display in the window of Harriett's Dress Shop in Leesburg until it is permanently hung in the Leesburg Town Hall.


50 Years Ago
June 11 1947

    Sandra Barkman, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Barkman, Mentone, received a swell present from her uncle, I.W. Barkman of Boston. The gift was a doll house, built of wood and equipped with such facilities as electric lights, a fireplace, an open stairway and a full set of furnishings. Sandra says she will be pleased to show it to any children who are interested.
