    MILFORD - Eleven-year-old Travis Coy can barely see the flag stick of Big Boulder's 100-yard No. 3 hole - much less see where his shot wound up Monday.

Coy, an upcoming seventh-grader at Milford Jr. High School, lofted a 5-iron shot over the tree that obstructs the view of the green and scored one of golf's rarest shots - a hole-in-one.

    FRENCH LICK - George L. White, Warsaw, president of United Telephone Co. of Indiana Inc., has been named second vice president of the Indiana Telephone Association by the board of directors meeting here this week.

The Indiana Telephone Association represents 55 telephone companies serving more than 3.5 million telephones in the state of Indiana.

    Sgt. Claude Wood, 23, son of Mrs. Earl English, Pierceton, who served as a medic with the famed 27th (Wolfhound) Regimental Combat Team in Korea, is home on rotation leave. He reports to Camp Atterbury June 22.

    A flip of the coin last night decided the contest for the secretaryship in the Eagles Lodge of Warsaw between Leroy Bibler and Lloyd Lucas as each received 60 votes for the place. Bibler won.
